Born and raised in Canada, Rachel Perry began her TV Hosting career as a VJ on Muchmusic, also known as "The MTV of Canada." Cutting edge in the world of Television, Muchmusic was one of the first channels to air music videos 24 hours a day with on-air hosts talking live to viewers, and doing live in-studio interviews with bands and musicians. The ground-floor, downtown "studio" had the unique appeal of being accessible to viewers and anyone who showed up and walked by the windows. During her 3 year stint at Muchmusic Rachel interviewed artists from Bono to Eminem and travelled everywhere from Newfoundland to The Yukon. After leaving Canada and moving to New York she spent time on a daily live show called "The Daily Beat" before being discovered by VH1 where she spent 6 years as host of The VH1 Top 20 Video Countdown, VH1 News, and "the voice of VH1" as she narrated innumerable "list" and "countdown" shows on pop-culture.
Rachel has used her hosting skills on the red carpet for EXTRA!, covering SXSW for DirecTV, and on in-flight entertainment on American Airlines. She presented weekly comedy news interstitials on Very Funny News on TBS, interviewed musicians on Pepsi Smash! on CBS, and interviewed extreme sports athletes at The Gravity Games on NBC. For 4 seasons Rachel was the host and a writer on "The Stash" on PlayboyTV, a cult favorite comedy clip show making fun of "adult content."
